Our Journey
2005-2006
The Location Group was founded originally as Location Services by Marc C. Riebe in 2005.
We started as sub-tenants at a lawyers office with our long-time assistant Yurany Murillo at Bahnhofstrasse 58 in Zurich.
The first deals at Rennweg were with Lacoste and Kiehl‘s and we lead the expansion of Bonita in Switzerland from 2006-2009.
2007-2008
We brought Gucci to Budapest and Munich, which was the start of our work with luxury brands all over Europe as well as in Japan and North America for two brands. At the same time we sold the first property at Rennweg in Zurich to a private investor.
2009-2010
After September 15, 2008 most of the brands were very careful and did not open as many shops as they did before. Luckily we closed an important huge deal with Victorinox for their first flagship store a Rue du Marché in Geneva at this time.
2011-2013
We expanded to London and opened an office at South Molton Street. At this time we had the first experience with Pret A Manger at New Bond Street Station.
We brought Moncler e.g. to Amsterdam, Budapest, Lugano, Salzburg, St. Moritz, Vienna and Zermatt. At the same time we started the expansion with Brunello Cucinelli in Switzerland and Germany.
In Gstaad we secured the chalet Loertscher-Graa for Louis Vuitton in 2012.
In 2013 we managed to secure the leases for Moncler at Americana Manhasset, Long Island NY as well as on behalf of Eres at the Crystals Mall in Las Vegas.
2014-2017
In 2014 we brought Michael Kors to Basel, Geneva and Zurich.
The Swiss frank shock on January 15th, 2015 let to the restructuring of The Location Group.
As a consequence we concentrated on the retail market in Germany. Therefore we brought Longchamp to Cologne as well as Richard Mille to Munich and moved Wolford from Maximilianstrasse to Dienerstrasse.
2018-2020
In 2018 we brought the Swiss Confiserie Teuscher to the KaDeWe in Berlin as well as to Theatinerstrasse in Munich.
Before the lockdown we closed the deal with Versace at 65 Boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes. The same landlord mandated us also for the repositioning of Bahnhofstrasse 52 in Zurich.
Within the lockdown we could enlarge the boutique of Hublot at Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich, where we acted as their exclusive agent since the acquisition of the first store in 2012.
2021-2022
A dream came true and we opened the first two Pret A Manger stores in Zurich. The third shop followed at the beginning of 2024 at Rennweg in Zurich.
In the middle of the pandemic we were mandated by the tattoo studio chain Giahi to sell and re-lease all of their stores as well as to acquire a new flagship store for their piercing studio Giada Ilardo at Bahnhofstrasse 70 in Zurich.
2023
We successfully worked with the master franchisee of Burger King to secure four locations in Basel and Zurich. Furthermore we brought a new luxury brands to Switzerland.
TODAY
One highlight was the opening of Sézane pop-up in Zurich, which was rented permanently by Zimmermann afterwards. We also secured the flagship store for Philipp Plein at 65 Avenue de la Croisette in Cannes as well as the Plein Sport stores in Berlin, Oberhausen, Vienna and Warsaw. Furthermore we worked e.g. for the lingerie brand Blue Lemon to secure their flagship store at Rennweg in Zurich.
